Gannon - This is a wonderful reflection on the value of helping and serving others. We never how those whose lives we touch will react to our guidance, but this is proof positive of the practicality of being helpful to our fellow man. Not only this nation (if it would have still existed without them), but also this world has benefited greatly from the wisdom and works of men like Franklin, Paine, Washington and Nathaniel Greene.

We rightly honor such men, but without someone like Denham, would we even be having this discussion?

By your deeds, and the deeds of your brothers, you also have set the example of greatness in America.
Well done, my sons!

Gannon,
You never cease to amaze me. A great piece on our history. Reminds me of Francis Scott Key and our "National Anthem". Our song as an American, and the story of our flag, and our struggle of Independence from Great Britain. On how Francis Scott Key tried to get the release of our Americans in the hands of the British. On the many brave Men and Women of Fort Henry. So yes, we should not forget Thomas Denham and the many other brave Men and Women that made our Freedom possible. We should never forget. Keep writing like you do, you have a gift my friend.
