					<description>Gannon,

I know both Matthew Kelly as well as the owners of the "fictional company" personally. What a coincidence. Matthew recently donated a number of his books to non profit seminar company my father works for Life Success Seminars.

I highly recommend the book. Overall, you will find that the Dream Manager is pretty much like "Troop Welfare" in Marine Corps terms. If the troops needs are met then its much easier to get on with "Mission Accomplishment."</description>

					<description>Hey Brian,

What I've been contemplating lately about Troop Welfare, from a leadership perspective, is how far does one take it? In terms of Maslow's hierarchy of needs, I think some people interpret it as making sure the basic needs are taken care of. Kelly's ideas suggest that it is more on the higher side of the scale, namely that leaders who help their people achieve their own personal self-actualization are likely to have the most loyal followers. This implies mentorship. I don't know if every Marine interprets the role of troop welfare in a universal way. To me, this is why Kelly's book is so appealing and I can't wait to read it.
