Gannon,
Today for Fitness Plt we did the phase 2 upper body deck, with no run (Gunny's orders, he's scared of the cold). I will say that everyone who came, Cory, Gunny, Douglas, Billy, Josh, and I were completely BEAT at the end of the deck. The reason was because even though we technically did less excersize, Gunny counted the push ups much, much slower than usual. By halfway through "the easy deck" I was dreading the push ups, and I hit complete failure with about 1/4 of the cards left. We will definitely have to try the hard deck going slow next week, I think you will be surprised how much difference it makes to go slow with a full range of motion.
Hope all is well and that you had a Merry Christmas!

Gannon,
Mom and I are very proud of your cartoon strip. It is hilarious, and we hope your schedule will allow you to do more later this year. More importantly, we are so proud of what you are doing to help motivate those young future Marines while whipping them into shape, and keeping yourself looking rather buff, too! Lastly, we are so proud of those young future Marines who have chosen to follow a path that is not destined for just anybody. A chosen few will make it; and, those who do will become part of a brotherhood like no other in the entire world.
Thank you all! And, Happy New Year, Marines!!!
Love,
Dad -
Taylor: We'll let Gunny lead in the push-ups from now on. I've got a new deck made for Friday, so it ought to be fun.
Dad: Thanks! I knew you would appreciate the humor. It's my Christmas card to Marines so I'm glad you enjoyed it.
