I’ve always joked that if I did a book about the art we do here at OO-RAH.com, I would have to title the book, “Skulls and Bulldogs,” since those two subjects dominate the themes. Lately, I think the book would have to be called, “Skulls, Bulldogs, and Spartans.”

My dad was stationed on Cherry Point when I was in high school. I was never arrested by the MPs, but I was stopped a time or two for looking suspicious. What can I say — I have naturally beady eyes.

Here is a picture I finished this weekend. I didn’t draw it; I just painted it. The original sketch was done by artist, Ben Caldwell and posted on Drawingboard.org. Ben did such a great job with the composition that I felt it needed to be painted.
